Mercilon Contraception Online

Mercilon is a type of combined oral contraception pill (combined-pill) and is one of the most reliable methods of contraception when taken correctly.

Mercilon contains two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and desogestrel (synthetic versions of the female hormones oestrogen and progesterone), that are primarily used to help prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Mercilon can also help those women who have problems with heavy, painful or irregular periods as this contraception pill usually trigers a lighter and more consistent menstrual cycle.

Mercilon contains two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and desogestrel which work by over-riding the normal menstrual cycle. Mercilon works by preventing the egg from being released by the ovaries by mimicking the body’s natural hormone levels and also thickens the mucus at the neck of the womb making it hard for the sperm to travel from the vagina into the womb. It also changes the wombs lining, making it less likely that a fertilised egg can implant.

Mercilon contraceptive pills come in a calendar pack with the days of the week printed on it to help you to remember to take it. Take one pill each day for 21 days then take a seven day break; you will still be protected from pregnancy during your pill-free week provided that you have taken it correctly. You start the next pack after seven pill-free days even if you are still on your period.
