Acomplia is no longer available at UKMedix
Acomplia (Sanofi) has been temporarily suspended with immediate effect, following advice from the European Medicines Agency and the MHRA because the benefits are thought to no longer outweigh the risks. The most recent studies showed that there was an increased risk of psychiatric disorders in patients taking Acomplia. If you have already been taking Acomplia and wish to continue:
You should contact your doctor or pharmacist as soon as it is convenient to discuss your treatment.
If you were wishing to take Acomplia for the first time:
You should consider alternate weight loss treatments from UKMedix such as Xenical or Reductil.
